Thursday Recipes: Favorite Fruit Recipes

In general, my family and I enjoy eating fresh fruit. Something about fresh fruit is just so refreshing. We always make sure there is fresh fruit available in our home. 

Prior to my pregnancy with Enoch, I used to love cottage cheese with fruit—especially pineapple and peaches.  However, during pregnancy I attempted dried fruit (I think it was dried papaya and pineapple) with cottage cheese and hated it!  Ever since then, I never enjoy cottage cheese and fruit like before.
Well, that being said, there are some fruit recipes my family enjoys!

The following are some of our favorites:

Bananas with Peanut Butter

1 banana, peeled
1 tablespoon peanut butter, more or less if you like
Raisins, to sprinkle on top—this is optional

Spread peanut butter (homemade is the best) on the banana and sprinkle raisins on top. You can use other dried fruits or nuts on your banana, for example, cranberries blueberries or almonds. Occasionally we will even drizzle some honey or maple syrup on top.

Makes one serving.

We also enjoy making shakes and smoothies out of fresh or frozen fruit. Although I don’t really have any particular recipes.
